In a story of courage and heroism, Senior Maintenance Supervisor Casey Pennant (floater in the PNW) managed to save a resident from potentially losing a limb.

Casey was in the parking garage at The Cairns when he came across a resident in distress. He found the resident pinned between a concrete pole and a car that had rolled back. Acting calmly and quickly, Casey was able to get her out to help her into a safe position. He dialed 911 to care for her injures and helped her feel as comfortable as possible.

As a result of seeking immediate medical attention, the resident had only two small fractures on her pelvis and no major injuries.

The resident recently reached out to Casey with a message of gratitude: “I just wanted to send a note to say thank you for your help. It was one of the most terrifying incidents in my life, and I am so grateful to have you at the accident scene, everything from getting me out to calling 911. The whole situation would have been a lot worse without you!”
