When pet-lovers and E-Team members Eileen Myers and Katy Sara Farsani heard that the Carson Animal Shelter was completely full and in need of both foster parents and donations, they decided to take action, and got the entire Irvine office involved.

In less than two weeks, the Irvine team collected enough pet food, beds, blankets, toys and treats to fill up an entire car. "Many of our Irvine office associates went out of their way to donate ... it was very heartwarming," says Katy Sara, Sales Performance Manager.

With the shelter at capacity, Eileen, Special Projects Manager, was moved to be a foster "pawrent."  She took care of Spammy, a 15-year old Jack Russell Terrier. Ellen Stich, Sr. Recruiting Specialist, suggested that Saint Agnes was a more fitting name than "Spammy." Says Eileen, "'Spammy' made us think of lunch meat," so the more dignified canine moniker stuck. After two days of pampering, Saint Agnes boarded a Southwest flight to Phoenix to join her "furever" home.

Thank you to the Irvine team for supporting the local community, and for showing that Essex truly is pet-friendly!
