Required Security Awareness Training
In today's online-centric  world, individuals and networks are frequently exposed to sophisticated attacks. From targeted spear-phishing to vicious ransomware, Essex wants all associates to keep security at the forefront of everything we do.
 
Starting today, these three security awareness training courses are available to all associates in Yardi LMS. All associates should complete these required courses by the end of 2017.

• 2016 Kevin Mitnick Security Awareness Training – 15 minutes

This 15-minute module covers the mechanisms of spam, phishing, spear phishing, spoofing, malware hidden in files, and Advanced Persistent Threats with an interactive “Red Flags” phishing test at the end, including email best practices. 

• 2017 Micro-module - Safe Web browsing – 10 minutes

This 10-minute module takes employees through the basics of safe web browsing. Learn how to avoid common dangers and the "do's and "don'ts" of safe web browsing.

• 2017 Micro-module - Strong Passwords – 5 minutes

This 5-minute micro-module covers the rules of how to create and use strong passwords in both an office environment and at home. Learn the 10 important rules for safer passwords, minimum password length, and how to remember long passwords.
