Employee Engagement Survey Results

Thank you to everyone who participated in the May Employee Engagement Survey. 55% of you responded to share your feedback with us, and we’re pleased to announce we saw an overall improvement in all categories!

SUCCESSES

The majority of you agreed you understand what is expected of you in your role and feel your work directly impacts the mission and vision of Essex. Most importantly, many of you agreed your opinions and ideas positively impact your teams. Additionally, over 94% of participants agreed Essex supports diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace. 
 
As some of you may have noticed, a new question was added to our survey. We asked whether you are receiving regular check-ins with your managers. Over 90% of participants responded “Yes” to this question.  

OPPORTUNITIES

At Essex, we’re always looking at ways to continue to improve upon our collective employee experience. Last October, we listened when you vocalized your desire for clearer communication and appropriate tools to support new program rollouts. Since then, we’ve been working to improve this process and are excited to share this score jumped 5.8% in May. This area remains a key focus for us as we move forward with additional rollouts and initiatives. 
 
Other opportunities for improvement include creating opportunities for career growth and creating an environment where you’d be excited to refer a friend or family member to work at Essex.
