Vaccine Attestation, Prizes and Safety Reminders

As we continue our efforts to provide a safe workplace and to comply with federal and local/state guidelines, it is important we collect vaccination status. While we are not mandating vaccines, all employees are required to declare if you have been vaccinated by completing the attestation in Workday. Many of the counties in which we work are now requiring Essex to report on this data.

SUBMIT YOUR ATTESTATION >

Click the link above or log in to Workday to complete the attestation. If you need to update dates of your first or second dose, you can return to the attestation survey to update your response at any time.

EXPLAINING THE REQUIRED ATTESTATION
(We promise, we're not just being nosy!)

Essex is NOT requiring you to get a vaccine.
The required attestation is a simple yes or no response which will allow Essex to comply with mandatory reporting for applicable counties.

Essex is NOT violating your HIPAA rights.
HIPPAA laws apply to your medical history and treatment under the care of a medical professional. Your vaccination status is not considered private, which allows counties to require employers to gather this information. Your individual response will not be shared or distributed, just the raw data.

We ARE using this information to keep you safe!
Understanding the number of employees who have been vaccinated will assist us with safely reopening our on-site and corporate offices. This data will help determine how we operate and what safety protocol will need to remain in place.

We UNDERSTAND if you cannot get the vaccine.
Your no attestation response is still required. HR will not require documentation or ask questions for your no response, and there is no cause for retaliation if you cannot get the vaccine.

Employees who have completed their attestation will be entered to win one of four prizes! Join us on Coffee Talk on June 16 when we will announce the winners.

  • $2,500
  • $1,000
  • Two PTO Days
  • Apple Watch

A friendly reminder of safety protocols:

  • CDC Guidelines may have changed, however, workplace safety/OSHA regulations/local & state health orders remain the same.
  • All associates are still required to adhere to social distancing and PPE protocols including wearing a mask.
  • These requirements still apply, even if you have been vaccinated.
