Voluntary PTO Program Supports Essex Residents in Need

We have exciting news to share! We recently announced a new company-wide Voluntary PTO Program created by our Essex Cares Foundation. This program was implemented to support our residents and local communities who have been impacted during this uncertain time caused by COVID-19, and we are proud to share that we are launching this initiative today with 100% participation from our senior leadership team.

Over the last several months, our Resident Relief Team has identified more than 6,000 individuals or families living within our communities who may be struggling to purchase groceries or day-to-day essentials. Through our Voluntary PTO Program, all Essex employees can “donate” eligible PTO time to support this initiative, which will provide grocery and food assistance to residents in need.

If you are interested in supporting our residents and local communities, please review the program guidelines here, and submit your PTO contribution form today through June 24, 2020. A leaderboard will be added to the front page of Buzz soon to show the total number of PTO hours contributed and the net dollar amount, along with top individual PTO contributors. Additionally, we will provide ongoing updates on how your donations have been effectively put to work.
