Yardi upgrade rescheduled to Feb. 7

Last week we let you know that an upcoming Yardi upgrade would be rescheduled. The upgrade will take place this Sunday, Feb. 7 starting at 8:00 p.m.

Why are we upgrading? The Yardi upgrade is intended to help alleviate CheckScan freezing you may have experienced. 

Here’s what you need to know about the upgrade:

  • Complete CheckScanning by COB on 2/7. All CheckScan receipt batches will need to be posted by close of business on Sunday, Feb. 7.
  • Automatic log-out. All users will be logged out of Yardi at 8:00 p.m. on Feb. 7. Any work that is not saved by that time will be lost.
  • Temporarily unable to pay online. During the upgrade, residents will be unable to pay online (should last several hours).
  • Changes implemented. Following this upgrade, there will be some visual changes to CheckScan including:
    • Specifying a check scanner
    • Entering batch information
    • Call-to-action buttons such as “Save Batch” and “Close Batch”
    • … and more. See below pictures to preview some of these changes.
  • Computer Maintenance. In preparation for Sunday’s upgrade, please leave your computer turned on at the close of business on both Saturday, Feb. 6 and Sunday, Feb. 7.
  • Upgrades completed by the next morning. You should be able to log in again the next morning (Mon., Feb. 8), and payment processing can resume.
  • Possible driver error message.If you receive an error message related to a "driver" when you attempt to scan checks for the first time, unplug your scanner, wait a minute and plug your scanner back in. Reattempt to scan checks.
