It is with great sadness we announce the loss of one of our most tenured Essex associates in San Diego. Faron Racca passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, after more than 20 years with Essex. Through our merger with BRE, he came to our company and worked in several departments throughout his career, from on-site operations to training to redevelopment to capital, and then back to on-site operations. Faron was a kind and caring man who brought a wealth of knowledge to our team. He was always happy to share his knowledge and take the time to teach other associates and was a consummate team player. Any team he worked with became like family to him. 

Faron had many passions in life, but his top three were his family, cooking (those who were lucky to work with him were often treated to a home-cooked lunch ... with dessert!), the New Orleans Saints, and LSU football. 

Every one of us who worked with Faron can say we are a better person for having known him, and we are a better company for his leadership in so many ways. He will be dearly missed.
