Pool Season Maintenance Reminders

Pool season is upon us, which means all pools and spas should be heated and maintained accordingly. Here are a few reminders to ensure your pools are running smoothly and keep your residents happy this summer: 

  • Solar-heated pools should have been turned on as of April 1, 2021
  • Gas-heated pools should have been turned on as of May 1, 2021
  • The maximum pool temperature setting is 78 degrees Fahrenheit 
  • The maximum spa temperature setting is 104 degrees Fahrenheit 
  • Pool filters should be set to run one hour before opening and turn off one hour after closing. Adjust filtration run times to maintain clear water. Higher usage will require longer run times 
  • In California, trippers must be used on all time clocks/Compool controllers and should be monitored to avoid energy waste
