Update your 2022 Open Enrollment Benefits!

Each year the benefits programs are evaluated for comprehensiveness, affordability, and quality. In the spirit of this review, when faced with larger than expected medical premium increases, Essex chose to invest heavily in our associates by picking up the lion’s share (86%) of the premium increase for 2022. This keeps your payroll premium deductions as low as possible. The medical increases were capped at a 5% increase or between $3 - $18 per pay check whereas Essex absorbed an annual added cost of $1,010 per associate for a total of $1.4 million of increased cost.

We are more than halfway through the Open Enrollment period so make time now to review your benefits and finish your enrollments before the deadline of Tuesday, November 16. While all enrollments are done in Workday, you may be asked to submit additional documentation for the following reasons: 

TO ENROLL OR MAKE CHANGES TO YOUR BENEFITS PLAN:

• Log in to Okta Single Sign-On for Workday: essex.okta.com.  
• On the Home page, click the Inbox to open it 
• Click the message subject: Open Enrollment Change. 
• After reviewing your benefit elections on the Benefit Elections Review page, check I Agree (you may need to scroll to the bottom). 
• Click Submit. Your elections will not be processed until you click Submit on the last screen.
