Essex continues to build in the most attractive locales of the West Coast as it develops its next project, Station Park Green, in the Bay Area’s ever-growing San Mateo. Opening in late 2017, Station Park Green will feature 4 buildings with a total of 599 residential units. This new project will be surrounded by 2 acres of parks and open space, 10,000 sq. ft. of office facilities, and over 25,000 sq. ft. of retail. This development is sure to change the dynamic of San Mateo. Located at the intersection of Highways 92 and 101, and just 100 feet away from the Hayward Park Caltrain station, Station Park Green will give residents access to the entire Bay Area, from San Jose to San Francisco. Residents will also be one block away from Trader Joe’s, the local YMCA and Instagram-worthy brunch at local eatery The Pantry. Residents will enjoy an array of amenities, including a roof deck with a pool, fitness center, club room, community room, outdoor eating options, BBQ areas, lounge, bocce court, and children’s play area. “A stunning plan for transit-oriented development in San Mateo, California," says the National Resource Defense Council of the Station Park Green development. It has earned Gold certification under the LEED for Neighborhood Development program founded by the U.S. Green Building Council. The Station Park Green development is only the second project in the nation to achieve this status and achieve a Stage 1 Gold rating.
