Essex continues to invest in our cybersecurity programs and will roll out an additional layer of security called multi-factor authentication (MFA). This will be a secondary method to verify all users of our computer systems to validate they are who they say they are when accessing our systems.

Implementation will begin at the end of January for our corporate offices and extend to all property staff in the weeks after that.

What Is MFA?

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a security validation method in which a computer user is granted access only after successfully presenting at least two pieces of evidence to prove they are who is authorized to access systems.  Using MFA enables Essex to have a more secure environment. You may be familiar with using multi-factor authentication with your bank or other online service providers.
