It pays to train: $1,000 on the line

The Training Department is giving away $1,000 just for doing your job—because we think you deserve it. 

As you know we have implemented a new hire curriculum, “Tier 1”, which includes a variety of required training for new hire associates based on their position at Essex. Courses include Essex Essentials, online courses for Yardi / Kronos /Payscan, and position specific training. Operations has requested that ALL field associates complete the Tier I training requirements regardless of how long you have been with Essex. This decision was made to ensure we all have the same foundational skills across the organization. If you’ve worked at Essex long enough, you’ll be excused from a few trainings.

Many of you have completed the majority of the training and have only a few items to “complete” the curriculum. Here are some details on the completion requirements:

  • New Hires since 10/1/2014: Complete all new hire curriculum as outlined in the plan (no exemptions)
  • Associates hired prior to 10/1/2014: You’ll be excused from these trainings:
    • Essex Essentials: Hired before October 1, 2014
    • Leasing fundamentals: Hired before August 1, 2014
    • YieldStar online: Hired before August 1, 2014
  • No one is excused from these trainings:
    • Yardi online training
    • Procurement—PayScan & PO’s
    • Benchmark programs (if necessary and assigned)
  • Exceptions: Individual associates may be exempted by RPM request to lmshelp@essex.com.

THE PAYOUT: Complete training by the end of the month to be entered in a drawing for a Visa gift card. Plus, you'll be entered into all subsequent drawings – the earlier you finish the training, the higher the prize value and the greater your chances of winning!  Don't miss out on your opportunity for some plastic.
