Essex is proud that our very own Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Angela Kleiman was recognized as one of 2017's most influential women in Bay Area business by the San Francisco Business Times.

Earlier this month, the SFBT released their annual Most Influential Women in Business publication which honors the Bay Area's female leaders across a range of business industries. The SFBT stated that all leaders chosen possess the admirable traits of drive, passion, and a commitment to excellence.

Angela's interview with the San Francisco Business Times
In her interview with the SFBT, Angela shared the following highlights of her career:

On her biggest challenge or setback
"While managing a high-profile $16 billion merger, our bid was leaked to Bloomberg. Lesson learned — expect to be surprised and create an opportunity from it."

Angela's Inspirational Mentor
"I've been fortunate to benefit from good mentors throughout my career, most impactful is Mike Schall, CEO of Essex. Mike is one of the most respected CEOs in the industry, he leads by example and is a high-quality human being."

Surprising fact about her
"People don't perceive finance professionals as having a sense of humor, but I'm constantly cracking myself up."

Congratulations, Angela!
