2022 Benefits Open Enrollment: November 3 - November 16

Benefit changes take effect on January 1, 2022.  

While we encourage you to review your choices for the coming year, if you take no action, your current elections will carry over automatically, except for Flexible Spending Accounts—to participate; you must enroll each year. 

What's New or Changing?

Cigna OAP-In 

  • The individual annual deductible will increase from $200 per individual to $400 per individual. The family deductible will increase from $400 per family to $800 per family. As a reminder, the Cigna deductible does not apply to regular office visits or prescription drugs. Your preventive care benefit continues to be covered at 100% (no copay or deductible) 
  • The annual out-of-pocket maximum will increase from $2,500 per individual to $3,000 per individual. The family out-of-pocket maximum will increase from $5,000 per family to $6,000 per family. 
  • Hearing aids will be covered after the deductible. The benefit is limited to two devices every 36 months. 

Kaiser CA HMO 

  • Hearing aids will be covered up to $1,000 per hearing aid per ear every 36 months.  
  • Office visit copay will increase from $25 to $30 per visit. 
  • Group outpatient mental health therapy copay will increase from $12 to $15 per visit. 
  • The individual out-of-pocket maximum will increase from $1,500 per individual to $3,000 per individual. The family out-of-pocket maximum will increase from $3,000 per family to $6,000 per family.

Kaiser WA HMO 

  • Hearing aids will be covered up to $1,000 per hearing aid per ear every 36 months. 
  • For retail prescriptions, Kaiser WA enrollees can obtain up to a 90-day prescription supply (currently a 30-day supply). Mail order benefits will continue to be available, giving associates the choice of retail or home delivery for a 90-day supply. 
  • The annual out-of-pocket maximum will increase from $2,000 per individual to $2,500 per individual. The family out-of-pocket maximum will increase from $4,000 per family to $5,000 per family. 

MHN Employee Mental Well-being Program 

  • We have increased access to free therapy benefits. The visit limit will increase from five visits per issue per year to eight visits per issue per year. The therapy benefit is available to both associates and their dependents. 

LifeLock Identity Theft 

  • Plans have been updated and have new names. More detailed information will be provided to current participants regarding how to re-establish online accounts in light of the updates. 
  • “Benefit Elite” is now “Benefit Essential.” For the same price as last year, several additional benefits have been added, including one-bureau credit monitoring and credit score tracking. 
  • “Ultimate Plus” is now “Benefit Premier.” The price has decreased, and new benefits have been added, including three-bureau credit monitoring and one-bureau credit score tracking.

  • Introducing the Vitality Marketplace!  You will automatically have access to numerous high-value, pre-vetted partner solutions across a wide variety of well-being categories.  The Vitality Marketplace makes it easier to live your healthiest life with a wide range of products and services tailored just for you. 
  • Get access to the Marketplace through PowerofVitallity.com 
  • Receive recommendations: Vitality will suggest products that are right for you to meet your personal well-being needs. 
  • Browse Vitality’s diverse Marketplace and choose a product that works for you.

  • Consider your needs - Adding to the family in 2022? Planning a big procedure? Now is the time to check if your benefits still match your situation. Open Enrollment is the one time per year when you can change your benefits without experiencing a qualifying life event. 
  • Take action - From November 3, 2021 through November 16, 2021, you can enroll or make updates in Workday by downloading the mobile app or from your computer at essex.okta.com. You must enroll or re-enroll in Flexible Spending Accounts each year to participate.
